Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house with a combined gross residence earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined residence money will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing nsfas 2025 of their application.
